Biography

Growing up I was always involved in sports. I played softball throughout high school and for a bit in college. After graduating, I moved to Virginia for a teaching position and was looking for a way to meet people. My friend from home mentioned that he started doing CrossFit and thought it was something I would be interested in. Soon after, I looked up a local gym and attended my first class. After that I was immediately hooked. It was a combination of everything I craved in a sport – strength, cardio, competition, and community.

A few months later in June 2014, I moved to Arlington. After a quick search I realized that Ballston CrossFit was a just 2 minute walk from my apartment. Talk about lucky! I signed up for a free class and knew right away it was the place for me. For the first time since I moved to Virginia I finally felt like I was part of a community. Throughout my time at BCF I have grown as an athlete, increased my self-confidence, and met some of my best friends.

After almost 10 years at BCF I decided it was time for me to continue developing as an athlete and work towards my next goal which was becoming a coach. I am excited to continue my coaching journey and am honored to be a part of such an amazing team. I look forward to giving back to the BCF community that has always been there for me!

I hold the following qualifications:

  • CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CF-L1
