Coaching since 2019
With Ballston CrossFit since 2018
I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I competed in swimming, cross country, and track, and started lifting weights at five years old to supplement my training. Throughout my life, athletics have taught me the value of consistency, hard work, and pushing beyond your limits. Those lessons continue to shape how I train, coach, and approach life.
I was introduced to CrossFit in 2017 thanks to former Ballston CrossFit yoga instructor Liz Marmesh, who encouraged me to give it a try. I immediately fell in love with the combination of strength, endurance, skill development, and community. In 2018, after watching the BCF community take on the CrossFit Open, I knew I wanted to be part of it. I joined the gym shortly after and quickly discovered that CrossFit was the perfect blend of everything I enjoyed most about fitness.
Since then, I’ve competed in numerous CrossFit competitions and HYROX events, including HYROX DC beginning in 2024. I love the challenge of testing both strength and endurance, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow as an athlete.
I began coaching at Ballston CrossFit as a yoga instructor in 2019 and was excited to rejoin the coaching team in 2026 as a HYROX coach. Coaching gives me the opportunity to share the lessons that fitness has taught me over the years and help others discover what they’re truly capable of.
My coaching philosophy is simple: people are capable of far more than they believe. When you combine consistency, effort, and a willingness to trust the process, you can surpass limits you once thought were impossible. Trusting the process was a lesson that took me years to learn myself (thanks, Coach Brock!), but I’ve seen firsthand what can happen when you stay patient, keep showing up, and focus on the work instead of the timeline.
One of my favorite parts of coaching is cheering people on as they accomplish things they never thought possible. Whether you’re training for your first race, your first sled push, or your next personal record, I love helping athletes build confidence, overcome obstacles, and push beyond the limits they’ve set for themselves. I firmly believe that we are all stronger, more resilient, and more capable than we realize.
