Growing up I played a variety of sports including hockey, basketball, baseball, and golf. I was first introduced to weightlifting in college when I wanted to gain muscle mass and improve athletic performance. I quickly became hooked to the hard work required to improve on a daily basis. The consistency that was required to improve and the ability to measure your progress easily also made weightlifting appealing. In the past couple years, I have included long-distance running into my fitness regiment. The challenge and patience required to succeed in running have been both difficult and rewarding. Currently, I have completed multiple half-marathons and am training for a 48-mile ultramarathon.
I was introduced to CrossFit in September 2021 and have loved the journey it has taken me on. Not only is this a new challenge that has been an incredible experience, I have developed lasting friendships while at BCF. In my short time in CrossFit, I have found the BCF community to be incredibly supportive and I look forward to continuing my fitness journey at BCF!
